Consulting and Collaboration
I collaborate with research groups, startups, public-sector organizations, and established product teams seeking deep technical expertise in interactive systems, experimental platforms, and data-driven software design.
My work focuses on building and advising on systems that are not only functional, but instrumented, evaluable, and architected for long-term reliability. I bring more than two decades of experience translating research ideas into robust, deployable technical solutions. Recent work includes immersive research platforms, statewide reporting infrastructure, large-scale messaging systems, and domain-specific item-generation engines.
Areas of Engagement
-
Interactive Systems Architecture
Design and implementation of complex interactive software, including immersive and simulation-based systems, custom UI frameworks, and cross-platform applications. -
Research Engineering and Instrumentation
Experimental platform development, quantitative logging, analytics pipelines, and reproducible infrastructure for academic and applied research studies. -
Prototype-to-Production Transitions
Technical guidance and hands-on implementation to evolve research prototypes into stable, maintainable, and deployable systems. -
Expert-Facing Interfaces and Domain-Specific Platforms
Design of interfaces and computational systems for subject-matter experts rather than software engineers, including declarative specifications, custom domain-specific languages, constraint-solving architectures, audit trails, and integrated evaluation and analysis tooling.
Engagement Models
-
Georgia Tech collaboration pathway: Most collaborations are pursued through the Institute for People and Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, enabling formal research partnerships, sponsored projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
-
Advisory and technical leadership engagements: In select cases, I provide architectural guidance, system design review, and implementation leadership for technically ambitious interactive or research-driven projects.
Engagements may range from short-term technical consultation and architecture assessment to longer-term research engineering and system implementation leadership.
If you are exploring a complex interactive, simulation-based, or research-oriented initiative and would like to discuss collaboration through Georgia Tech or in a direct consulting capacity, please reach out through the Contact page to begin a conversation.
